Like many people, Gillian also worried about being the unfit one. That fear disappears quickly at Tribe.
There’s no judgement.
Every movement has an adaptation.
Every coach knows how to meet you where you are.
And then something powerful happens.
You stop worrying about being the least fit.
You start noticing progress.
You realise how far you’ve come.
“You become the fit one,” Gillian explains.
“And seeing that progress is absolutely amazing.”
Today, Tribe isn’t just where she trains — it’s a place she couldn’t imagine life without.
When people first join TRIBE, many are unsure where to start. Some haven’t trained in years, others are looking for structure, support, and a community that keeps them accountable.
Over time, we’ve helped them not just improve fitness, but transform their everyday lives — from having more energy at work, to moving pain-free, to feeling confident in their own skin.
These stories aren’t just about strength or weight loss — they’re about long-term health, confidence, and the freedom to live life without limits.
When Nicky talks about her biggest achievement at Tribe, it isn’t a number on a barbell or a single standout result.
It’s this: seven years of consistent training.
Showing up week after week.
Making training part of life.
Building something sustainable, not short-term.
That consistency is exactly what Nicky values most about Tribe — and it’s what keeps her coming back.
Across the week, her favourite session is the Engine class.
Not because it’s easy — but because it isn’t.
She loves the challenge.
The test.
The feeling of pushing her engine and seeing what she’s capable of.
That mindset — embracing the work — is a big part of why consistency has stuck for so long.
And yes, even after seven years…
She’ll be the first to admit there are still movements she doesn’t love.
(Split squats included.)
But that’s kind of the point.
You don’t have to love every exercise.
You just have to keep showing up.
Seven years in, Nicky isn’t just a member — she’s a huge part of the Tribe community and a living example of what happens when health and fitness become a long-term commitment.
Not perfection.
Not intensity for intensity’s sake.
Just consistency — and the life improvements that come with it.
For Colin and Jamie, Tribe isn’t just a gym — it’s something they’ve shared together from the very beginning.
As a father and son duo, training at Tribe has meant different things at different stages — but the constant has always been progress, support, and showing up.
Jamie is focused and driven.
Determined.
Committed to improving.
His favourite sessions are the Strength and HYROX-style sessions, where he can build both strength and fitness. And according to his dad, that work has paid off — Jamie has got really strong.
But the journey doesn’t stop there.
Jamie also speaks proudly about his dad’s progress.
Colin’s weight loss and health journey has been a huge part of his time at Tribe — putting in the work, rebuilding his health, and bouncing back stronger. It’s a transformation that hasn’t just changed how he looks, but how he lives.
Together, they speak about something that matters just as much as the training.
If you’re nervous about joining, they say, remember this:
Life is about living.
Being fitter.
Being stronger.
Being able to do more.
Training isn’t just exercise — it’s a tool to help you live better.
What makes that possible at Tribe is the people.
Everyone is like-minded.
Everyone encourages each other.
Everyone remembers what it’s like to walk into a new gym for the first time.
Members introduce themselves.
New people are welcomed in.
The social side matters.
And that’s what makes Tribe different.
“If you’re stuck,” they say,
“If you’re looking for something to change — this is a brilliant way to better your life.”
Grace and Toby have been part of Tribe for two years, training side by side and making sessions part of their weekly rhythm.
They’ll be the first to laugh about their differences.
Grace might occasionally be running late.
Toby, on the other hand, needs to change his shoes for every workout.
But when it comes to training, they’re completely aligned.
Their favourite sessions are the Engine sessions — the ones you can really get stuck into. Sessions where effort matters, teamwork shows, and training together makes it even better.
Seeing partner duos train like this is a big part of what Tribe is about.
For Grace, training has meant something even more important recently.
She’s trained right through her pregnancy, and that hour in the gym has become hers.
A space where she can just be Grace.
Not thinking about being a mum-to-be.
Not thinking about everything else changing.
Training has helped her feel strong, capable, and in control of her body during a time when so much is shifting — and that confidence carries far beyond the gym floor.
Toby describes Tribe as a place that’s genuinely inclusive.
A motivated environment that pushes you — but only as much as you need pushing.
Supportive.
Encouraging.
Never intimidating.
For them, it’s not just about fitness — it’s about sharing the journey, feeling supported, and showing up together.
Sally came to Hyrox expecting a challenge — and she certainly got one.
The sessions stretched her capabilities and pushed her in ways she hadn’t anticipated. At first, she felt a little apprehensive, unsure of what to expect.
But very quickly, that nervousness gave way to enjoyment.
Her advice for anyone feeling intimidated?
“Just give it a go.”
Yes, it’s going to be challenging if it’s new to you.
Yes, you’ll be tested.
But at Tribe, you’re never alone.
You work together as a team, and everyone encourages each other — making even the hardest sessions motivating and fun.
There’s no judgement.
Every session is designed to be encouraging, supportive, and inclusive.
And the equipment? Sally has her favourites — like the SkiErg.
but the support and energy of the Tribe make every movement worthwhile.
